Be it resolved:

  1. Any person who is employed by another person to complete an assigned task in exchange for monetary payment shall be considered a worker. An employer is any individual who is paying another person to complete a task or any individual that owns a business. A supervisor shall be any person that has the assigned task of directing the activities of workers.
  2. Workers may not be fired without at least two prior warnings from an employer or supervisor. These two warnings must be written and both the person issuing the warning and the worker receiving the warning must have a copy of the written warning for documentation. The negative activity that is the reason for the warnings or firing must be proven to be an established policy of the workplace at which the worker is employed.
  3. Workers may not be prevented from forming any kind of union or other collective organization.
  4. The employer or supervisor of a workplace shall be required to bargain collectively with any union of collective organization (be it formal or ad hoc) that is present in a workplace.
  5. Workers shall be permitted to strike for grievances in their place of employment.
  6. In the event of a strike action no one may enter the workplace that is the subject of the strike. Nor may anyone in any way operate any machinery (be it factory machinery or office machinery) that is inside a workplace that is the subject of a strike action.
  7. In the event of a strike action the workplace that is the subject of the strike action must pay the worker's on strike a salary no less than one-half (1/2) their normal weekly wage or salary.
  8. Employers shall be required to provide a form of pension for all of the worker's they employ. The type of pension is up to the discretion of the employer. The employer must ensure that the pension they provide will pay a retired worker no less than one-half (1/2) the yearly salary or wage of the worker during their employment for no less than 20 years after the retirement of the worker.
  9. Employers and supervisors shall not be permitted to fire a worker because of sickness or ill health.
  10. Employers and supervisors shall not be permitted to limit the number of medically related work absences a worker may take.
  11. Employers and supervisors must allow worker's no less than fourteen (14) vacation days a year. These days may only be used if a worker explicitly expresses a desire to use them. Employers and supervisors shall not be permitted to count an illness related work absence as a vacation day.
  12. Employers and supervisors must provide medical insurance for any worker than clocks in more than 30 hours of work time a week.
  13. Workers shall be guaranteed a wage of ₤0.30 an hour.

The vote having ended in a tie I, as Speaker, shall cast the tie-breaking vote. I vote Yes. The proposal passes. The Worker Protection Act is adopted.
