Noting that a new Parliament has been elected,
Further noting that the Constitution requires that a Speaker be appointed from among the Members of Parliament to regulate the debates and actions of Parliament,
Be it resolved that a poll shall be taken in which Members of Parliament shall elect from among their number a Speaker of the Parliament by a simple majority of the Parliament.
The Speaker selected by this poll shall have all the rights and privileges attached to their office.
Every Member of Parliament shall be listed on the poll and shall be eligible for the Office.
This will be a secret ballot and shall be open for one (1) day.
